About Simple Home Solar Energy
Simple Home Solar Energy documents the latest adventure challenge for Mark and Cathy Spain.
Our greatest challenge thus far has been our homeschooling adventure. Unhappy with the educational choices available to our girls, we decided to take a different path. Both our girls graduated from our homeschool and went on to college. Our oldest daughter recently married; our youngest daughter finishes her undergraduate studies in another year.
Today, concerned with environmental issues, gasoline prices, and fuel choices available to us, we embark on another adventure. We are on a quest to incorporate solar energy into our home energy equation.
Why solar?
Solar energy is clean, abundant, and efficient. No harmful gases escape into the air. Solar energy can be used without being used up. Using solar energy in no way inhibits the sun’s contribution to our planet’s life cycle.
We are neither scientists nor engineers. We are a couple of people who believe the Maker expects us to care for this earth the best we are able. And to that end, we begin our solar challenge.
